Alleyway study

I did not do a value sketch to clarify the approximate value blocks before starting, and that could be part of the reason for such an over-worked sketch.  

I took a few step-by-step photos and here they are.

Pencil outline

I added some broad washes once the pencil sketch is done.

The next step is to clarify the areas and add some dark darks.
