There is something liberating about trying to do something you have never tried before, isn't it? No matter how it turns out, you can take comfort in the fact that it will only get better from here.
That is how I feel about my sketch today. This is my very first time attempting a subject like this. I have never done a night time sketch, let alone a rainy night. It is not great art, but I am glad that I tried it. Now I know what not to do, and what all to figure out before trying this again ... and the next time will only be better. It will not be worse, at any rate.
I used a limited palette of Indantharene blue, Perylene maroon and Quin gold, and added some highlights with a white sharpie at the end.
